President Donald Trump posted a video created with artificial intelligence that makes it look as if Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., is disparaging his party and its voters, while House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries, N.Y., stands by silently with a sombrero and mustache. The video has 23 million views on X and counting.
“There’s no way to sugarcoat it, nobody likes Democrats anymore,” Schumer is made to say in the video. “If we give all these illegal aliens health care, we may be able to get them on our side so they can vote for us.”
The video was posted as the two sides have failed to make any progress on a deal for government funding. It hits every one of the nation’s most polarizing topics — immigration, race and LGBTQ — with swear words sprinkled in.

“Not even Black people want to vote for us anymore, even Latinos hate us. So we need new voters. And if we give all these illegal aliens free health care, we might be able to get them on our side so they can vote for us. They can’t even speak English so they won’t realize we’re just a bunch of woke pieces of s—t.“
Leader Jeffries called it racist, while one Republican senator called it hilarious.
The trolling makes it clear that both sides are digging in and are not willing to make concessions anytime soon.

“I thought it was hilarious. I think people take that stuff too seriously and try to find political like hay to make out of it. It’s a funny video that was posted. Although I do think it probably is telling that the Democrats’ demands right now are just totally unreasonable.”
Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn.
“The post last night from President Trump indicates that he has no expectation or desire to avoid a shutdown. The path has been cleared for shutdown. The precipice is there. President Trump evidently wants it. Otherwise he wouldn’t have posted what he did last night, which was really despicable in its use of AI to distort a colleague’s position.”
