‘You can refuse’: Democrats deliver strong message to military; White House intervened to protect Andrew Tate: Report

In this Media Miss Minute, congressional Democrats have a strong message for people serving in the military under the Trump administration. And the White House intervened to protect social media influencer Andrew Tate from federal investigations, according to a new report.

Media Miss by the left: Democrats remind military members to refuse illegal orders in new video

Six congressional Democrats — all of whom have military or intelligence backgrounds — have a message for military service members amid growing concerns over the Trump administration’s military strikes on boats in the Caribbean.

“Like us, you all swore an oath to protect and defend this Constitution,” they say in a video.

They then underscore a central point: U.S. troops are legally obligated to refuse any order they believe to be illegal or unconstitutional.

The Trump administration says the strikes target drug traffickers, but critics have raised concerns that the administration does not give enough evidence of any wrongdoing connected to the vessels it has struck.

Media Miss by the right: Trump official intervened to shield Andrew Tate from investigation

New reporting from ProPublica alleges that the White House intervened to protect social media influencer and former kickboxer Andrew Tate and his brother as they faced sex-trafficking investigations overseas.

The report found that a senior White House official, Paul Ingrassia, was given direct orders to demand that federal authorities return electronic devices and information that could have been used as evidence against Tate and his brother.

Tate was facing sex trafficking investigations in at least three different countries at that time.
